Application Instructions
Follow the instructions on the application form and Job Vacancy Notice completely. The Applicant EEO Data Form is used for reporting purposes only. It is maintained in a separate confidential file and will not be forwarded to the selecting supervisor. Your application/transcript and/or résumé must address how you meet the minimum education, experience and qualifications stated in the Job Vacancy Notice. A copy of the Job Vacancy Notice containing a brief job description and qualifications for posted positions may be obtained from the Human Resources office or our website. All education, special skills and paid and volunteer work experience should be written clearly and specifically on the application form.
If selected for interview, applicant must provide a current driving record from the Department of Public Safety
Other Information
The Human Resources office refers the applications, transcript and résumés of applicants who meet the minimum qualifications to the supervisor responsible for interviewing and selection. The selecting supervisor will review the application, transcript and résumé for evidence of the qualifications, Education, knowledge, skills and abilities listed on the Job Vacancy Notice.
If selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly by the selecting supervisor or a HR Specialist. Please contact the Human Resources office for information on the status of your application. A Criminal Background Check will be conducted on all New Employees.
If you are a male 18 to 25 years of age, an offer of employment is contingent upon you presenting proof when you report for your first day of employment that you are registered with the selective service system or that you are exempt from registration. Online registration and proof of registration is available on the Selective Service System's website - Texas Government Code, Section 651.005.
The Immigration Reform & Control Act of 1986 requires all new employees to present proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
