"RITA GO ZONE"

The Texas First Time Homebuyer Program currently has Targeted Funds available to counties located in the "Rita GO Zone," in addition to the other targeted areas in the state. Typically targeted areas are identified by census tracts that have severe economic distress. Due to recent legislation signed on December 21, 2005, The Gulf Opportunity Act ("Rita GO Zone") designates a 22-county area of Southeast Texas as targeted area. Please refer to the "Rita GO Zone" map (PDF) for the 22-county list and other information.

To find a participating lender in your area, visit Step 5: Find a Lender or Realtor on the Buyer page.
